Check out this week’s upcoming events in Greater Longfellow and Happy 2020!
Upcoming & Ongoing Events
Volunteers Needed! Help your neighbors age in place while also keeping Greater Longfellow sidewalks safe for everyone!
The Longfellow Community Council (LCC) is gauging interest in a volunteer shoveling network to help elders and people with disabilities who are unable to keep up with snow removal on their own.
In concept, LCC would work to connect volunteers with neighbors that request assistance based on proximity, who would then work out an arrangement between themselves.
if you are interested or have questions, please call or email LCC Program Manager, Justin Gaarder at: (612) 722-4529 Ext. 13 or firstname.lastname@example.org
The Neighborhood by the Falls is AVAILABLE!Click on the link: https://squareup.com/market/longfellow-community-council/ and scroll down to the “Merchandise” and click on the image of the book (feel free to donate or buy any other awesome merch while you’re at it!) and choose how many you want. Then pick up at the LCC offices. WE DON’T HAVE SHIPPING CAPABILITIES–Sorry.
Syringe Clean-up Request–
Have you spotted loose syringes that you’d like Southside Harm Reduction Services to come clean up? Submit details through this form, and they’ll do our best to get volunteers out to take care of it! http://www.southsideharmreduction.org/syringe-clean-up-request/

This mentality of sharing, informing, learning, playing ,connecting, and keeping it real has incorporated interactive and overlapping creative activities such as: B-boy/B-girl dance battles, MC battles, DJ’s, graffiti art murals, spoken word, drumming, Bomba, craft vendors, and open community dance. This exhibit will incorporate the video documentation of Teddy Grimes, photography of Kimani Beard and Ephraim Eusebio, and the art of many of the graffiti and mural artists who have graced the Modus Locus Art Garden walls around the Summer Cypher space adjacent to the Modus Locus art gallery.
