Location: City Hall Room 317 – 350 S. 5th Street
Purpose: DJR Architecture submitted the following applications to allow for the construction of a four-story, mixed use building with 102 residential units and 2,300 square feet of retail in the C3A, Community Activity Center District and the PO, Pedestrian Overlay District at 3801 Hiawatha Ave.
- Conditional use permit to amend a previously approved planned unit development.
- Variance to allow a reduction in the minimum gross floor area of a dwelling unit to less than 500 square feet.
- Variance of the PO, Pedestrian Oriented Overlay District standards.
- Site plan review.
Interested parties are invited to attend and be heard. Planning Department staff will issue a recommendation to the Planning Commission. After hearing from the public, the Planning Commission will make a determination based on required legal findings of fact. Please visit www.minneapolismn.gov/meeetings/planning for the agenda with staff reports (web page will be updated by the end of the day Wednesday prior to the meeting date).
