Public Hearing Notice – Zoning Code Amendment

Location: City Hall Room 317 – 350 S. 5th Street

Purpose: Amending Title 20 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances related to the Zoning Code as follows:

Chapter 525 Administration and Enforcement

Chapter 544 Off-Premise Advertising Signs and Billboards

The purpose of the amendment is to revise regulations related to off-premise advertising near regional sports facilities. Specifically the proposed amendment would expand the boundary of the Downtown Entertainment Billboard district near US Bank Stadium and to remove language regulating the city financing of billboard advertising.

Interested parties are invited to attend and be heard. Planning Department staff will issue a recommendation to the Planning Commission. After hearing from the public, the Planning Commission will make a determination based on required legal findings of fact.
