SUMMARY:Door Knocking to Remove Racial Covenants
DESCRIPTION:We’re looking for people to help us spread the word about Free the Deeds and connect residents to resources for removing racial covenants from their property.\n\nWe will be door knocking homes across the community that still have racist language attached to their deeds and provide them information about how they can remove it. SUMMARY:Community Clean Up
DESCRIPTION:The Community Clean Ups gather people from the neighborhood and community together to contribute to the health and vitality of the Greater Longfellow neighborhood. All are welcome. This is a free\, family-friendly event – join us Saturday\, Oct. 14! \nTo join the cleanup\, simply show up between 10am and 12pm at the Walgreens Parking Lot on 46th Street and Hiawatha Ave to meet up with staff and get materials. We strongly suggest wearing sturdy shoes and dressing for the weather. And we suggest bringing a mask for whenever you find yourself in close proximity to other volunteer.
