This will be a fun\, slow-paced ride to get to know your neighbors and local businesses. \n\n\n\n\n\nBike Commute Coach Mary will share tips for safe riding in the city and staying cool in the heat. This is a great ride to join for folks interested in getting more confident and comfortable riding to destinations in the neighborhood. New\, infrequent and e-bike riders welcome. \nRoute will be 3 – 5 miles in length and travel along bicycle friendly streets. We will visit murals and neighborhood attractions. We’ll be at the Mississippi River Gorge to clean up trash and help our river stay beautiful and healthy on Saturday\, July 13th from 10:30am to 12pm.  This is a family-friendly event providing an excellent opportunity to get outside and work together to help improve this treasured area.\n\nTo participate\, show up around 10:30am at East 36th Street & West River Parkway.  Look for the LCC table near the parking lot– we’ll provide all clean up materials\, including vests\, trash bags\, gloves\, but if you have your own equipment\, bring it!  Be sure to dress for the weather (layers!) and wear appropriate shoes.

DESCRIPTION:The Longfellow River Gorge festival is one of LCC’s longest running annual events. Each fall we honor and celebrate the Mississippi River\, its history\, and its vital ongoing importance to humans and wildlife. The festival educates community about the River’s functions and ecology in a fun and approachable way focusing on restoration and conservation. \nJoin us on Sunday\, September 8th from 12 to 4pm at the Mississippi River Gorge! This is a free and family-friendly event with activities for all ages: canoe rides\, geology tours\, kids activities\, nature walks\, live music\, and more! DESCRIPTION:Join us for a River Clean up! We’ll be at the Mississippi River Gorge to clean up trash and help our river stay beautiful and healthy on Saturday\, October 5th from 10:30am to 12pm.  This is a family-friendly event providing an excellent opportunity to get outside and work together to help improve this treasured area.\n\nTo participate\, show up around 10:30m at East 36th Street & West River Parkway.  Look for the LCC table near the parking lot– we’ll provide all clean up materials\, including vests\, trash bags\, gloves\, but if you have your own equipment\, bring it!  Be sure to dress for the weather (layers!) and wear appropriate shoes.
