DESCRIPTION:Minneapolis Solid Waste & Recycling and community partners are excited to offer our third annual citywide garden tool swap! From first time gardeners to those with green thumbs\, all are welcome at this free event. You do not need to bring items to the event to take items home with you\, and all are welcome to participate.\n\nStop by Longfellow Park between 9am and 12pm to drop off items or maybe you’ll find something you need for your garden!\nLongfellow Park is one of seven city parks that are participating in the swaps this year. Park addresses and detailed lists of accepted items can be found on our website at bit.ly/garden-tool-swap\n\n*New in 2023: A free Backyard Composting Workshop will be held at Powderhorn Park from 10-11 a.m. in unison with the swap. Composting & Recycling Specialist Kira Berglund will share tips for backyard composting in this in-person workshop. These images\, drawn from an extensive repertoire of nearly 2\,000 creations\, are a visual diary\, capturing fleeting moments and emotions with haiku-like brevity. \nRooted in the everyday and inspired by his paintings\, sketches\, and photographs\, the exhibit blurs the line between reality and imagination\, creating a charming collection of faux bands and album covers\, “Fakery.
