The Volunteer Shoveling Program and Weed Wrench Program provide community members with services and tools needed to care for their property in every season.
Community Clean ups
Community Clean ups provide Greater Longfellow residents the opportunity to help maintain & revitalize our neighborhood together through trash removal in public and environmental spaces throughout the year.

Free the Deeds provides lawn signs and posters made by local artists to homeowners who have removed racial covenants from their deeds to encourage conversation around racial covenants and their removal as an integral step toward racial equity.

Home Improvement Program
The Home Improvement Program provides rebate assistance for improvement projects for residents and property owners living in Longfellow, Cooper, Hiawatha, and Howe. Due to high demand, funds for this program have been exhausted and the program is on pause. We hope to restart the program later this spring.

Reclaim the Outdoors
Longfellow Community Council and community partners collaborate to create experiences for all neighbors to get outdoors through bench building, painting, and bird walks. This program ended in the Summer of 2023.

Rental Assistance Program
The Renter Support Fund is a rent assistance program that seeks to aid cost-burdened Greater Longfellow renters in a low-barrier way. Through this program, renters received financial assistance, no strings attached. The program is currently closed. Read the program report.
