Development Community Meeting Results- Former Greg’s Auto Site (4737 Minnehaha Ave)

Thank you to all those who attended last night’s development review meeting to provide input and voice your concerns.

The results of the community vote have been tallied and the Longfellow Community Council will be providing a letter of support with the condition that the developers provide access to the building from Minnehaha Ave. or Nawadaha Blvd., instead of the currently proposed alley access.

Yes: 8

No: 10

Yes, but with conditions: 18

Total: 36

A draft letter will be reviewed by the LCC Neighborhood Development and Transportation Committee next Tuesday, June 4th, and all are welcome to attend and participate in the discussion. The meeting will be held at Longfellow Park from 7:30-8:45pm.

We will post a copy of the letter on our Facebook page and website once it has been finalized and sent to the Minneapolis City Planning Commission.

Public Hearing Notice -Amending Title 20 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances Related to the Zoning Code

Purpose: The purpose of the amendment is to amend regulations for drive-through facilities. Creating a citywide prohibition on new drive-through facilities.

Interested parties are invited to attend and be heard. Planning Department staff will issue recommendations to the Planning commission. After hearing from the public, the Planning Commission will make a determination based on required legal findings of fact.
