Notice of Public Hearing – Zoning Code Amendment

Purpose: 

Amending Titles 20 and 22 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances

The Purpose of the Amendments is to authorize residential uses with up to three units on properties in lower-density zoning districts and amend standards related to building bulk, lot size, required yards, setbacks, and other development standards and to limit lot combinations in lower-density zoning districts.

Interested parties are invited to attend and be heard. Planning Department staff will issue a recommendation to the Planning Commission. After hearing from the public, the Planning Commission will make a determination based on required legal findings of fact. Please visit www.minneapolismn.gov/meeetings/planning for the agenda with staff reports (web page will be updated by the end of the day Wednesday prior to the meeting date).

Public Hearing Notice: Annual License Fee Adjustment

Location: Minneapolis City Hall, Room 317 – 350 South 5th Street, Minneapolis, MN  55415

Purpose: The Economic Development and Regulatory Services Committee of the Minneapolis City Council will consider adjusting fees listed on the License Fee Schedule.  Staff is recommending a 2% inflationary adjustment, rounding each license to the nearest $5, for fees on the License Fee Schedule. Licenses excluded from the inflationary increase are listed below:

  • Pet adoption fees
  • Fees with state statutory limits (some of the liquor licenses, vending machines)
  • Some licenses and permits for charitable organizations/purposes
  • Taxis
