Visit SiteMinnehaha Mosaics, a Community Arts Project
In 2017, LCC received a grant through the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (MRAC) to work with Hennepin County to organize community art workshops featuring two Twin Cities mosaic artists. The conversations and input from the workshops helped inspire the artists’ design and creation of mosaic installations on 13 trashcans located in front of local businesses along Minnehaha Avenue. Finished pieces were installed in June & July, 2017.
