  • Neighborhood Community Relations – This City department has a list of financial, housing, and legal resources for renters
  • Rental Housing Liaison – Regulatory Services has employees that work closely with Inspections staff supporting renters in housing issues, including finding resources for renters in tough situations, coordinating between renters, owners and City staff and also working with renters to understand the work of Inspections Services.
  • Housing Link – Nonprofit organization providing affordable rental housing information.
  • HOME Line – A nonprofit Minnesota tenant advocacy organization.
  • Legal Aid – Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid offers free civil legal assistance to low-income people facing eviction, housing discrimination, and more.
  • Inquilinxs Unidxs Por Justicia – Nonprofit advocating for renters throughout Minneapolis
  • Minneapolis Public Housing Authority (MPHA) – Administers public housing for eligible individuals and families in Minneapolis.
  • Volunteer Lawyers Network – Non-profit organization dedicated to connecting Minnesotans experiencing poverty with some of the top private lawyers in the state at no cost.
  • Minnesota Attorney General – Landlord and tenants: Rights and responsibilities.
  • Minnesota Tenant Eviction Complaint Form – If your landlord is asking you to leave during the peacetime emergency, but you would like to continue renting, you can fill out the complaint form at the MN Attorney General’s Office.
  • Neighborhood Organizations – All neighborhoods in the City of Minneapolis are represented by a neighborhood organization. State law gives these organizations the authority to act in protection of your housing rights as a renter.
