Support the Longfellow Art Sale Fundraiser - Choos Support the Longfellow Art Sale Fundraiser - Choose artwork from Ms. Carlson’s art students to be printed onto cool stuff you can buy to raise funds for Mom Prom—a special event for pregnant and parenting teens at Longfellow High School. The sale runs April through June.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our Ope A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our Open House this past Saturday! We loved welcoming you into our space and sharing a day full of fun, learning, and community connection.

Here’s a look at what we had at the event:

- Free herb, vegetable, and flower seedlings, plus pots and soil for renters to start their own container gardens.
- Artist Pablo Kalaka had an interactive table where community members shared ideas and hopes for the mural coming to the Hiawatha & Lake Street intersection.
- Hazardous waste collection providing a safe and responsible way to dispose of items like cords, paint, and more.
- RTR Recycling accepted used electronics to give to Minnesota veterans.
- LCC programs & services info table with pamphlets and highlights of what we offer.
- Snacks, stickers & freebies, because who doesn’t love treats and takeaways?
- Raffle prizes with two lucky winners who will be taking home some LCC swag!

Amidst the original April 28th meeting being cance Amidst the original April 28th meeting being cancelled due to the threat of severe weather, Minneapolis Public Works has rescheduled their public meeting to talk about new traffic calming solutions rolling out in 2025 to May 7th. These solutions will be implemented in two key areas of Longfellow.

In this meeting you can learn about the project, ask questions, and share your thoughts.
