Garden Tool Swap
May 11 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Minneapolis Solid Waste & Recycling and community partners are excited to offer our third annual citywide garden tool swap! From first time gardeners to those with green thumbs, all are welcome at this free event. You do not need to bring items to the event to take items home with you, and all are welcome to participate.
Stop by Longfellow Park between 9am and 12pm to drop off items or maybe you’ll find something you need for your garden!
Longfellow Park is one of seven city parks that are participating in the swaps this year. Park addresses and detailed lists of accepted items can be found on our website at bit.ly/garden-tool-swap
*New in 2023: A free Backyard Composting Workshop will be held at Powderhorn Park from 10-11 a.m. in unison with the swap. Composting & Recycling Specialist Kira Berglund will share tips for backyard composting in this in-person workshop. Learn how to set up your compost pile, what materials you can compost, how to get the mix right, and more. Please RSVP so workshop organizers know how many people to expect: bit.ly/3mtUd9Q
