Lakely’s Birthday Party is a joyful community ce Lakely’s Birthday Party is a joyful community celebration honoring Lakely, a tree planted by community members along Lake Street as a symbol of resilience, care, and renewal. Hosted at El Nuevo Campo, this free public event brings neighbors together to celebrate trees, community stewardship, and the beginning of summer through play, conversation, and collective joy.

Like any great birthday party, there will be cake, sparkling refreshments, party hats, lawn games, singing, and a spirited Kubb tournament. Alongside the festivities, community members will have opportunities to learn about urban forestry, connect with local organizations, and celebrate the role that trees play in creating healthy, vibrant neighborhoods.
