It’s the annual Gerten’s plant sale for Sanford PTA. Pick up those beautiful Gerten’s flower and vegetable plants right in the neighborhood and support the Sanford PTA so we can fund more field trips, purchase recess supplies, host ice cream at the open house, bring in speakers and more!!!

You're invited to join LCC's Environment & River Gorge Committee (ERG) in a brainstorming session. The goal is to decide on some community-wide environmental projects and initiatives that LCC can form action groups around.

There is a public hearing on Tuesday, February 4, of the Heritage Preservation Commission. On the Agenda is the recommendation of the Department of Community Planning and Economic Development for the Demolition of Historic Resource application by Louis Zachary of The Zachary Group, Inc., on behalf of ADM Milling Co., for the property located at 3501 Hiawatha Ave:

A. Demolition of Historic Resource.

Recommended Motion: The Heritage Preservation Commission approves the demolition of historic resource application, subject to the following condition:

The applicant shall submit a mitigation plan to staff for review and approval prior to receiving preservation approval for a wrecking permit. The mitigation plan should propose a method to document or recognize the history of the site.
