The Central Neighborhood's Wild Geranium Fund (WGF) was created to create meaningful change for youth in our community. Using the microgrant model, WGF seeks to interrupt both systemic divestment from Black youth and also wealth distribution that favors white people. WGF will do this, in part, through distributing $2,000 grants to Black youth who identify as having a connection to one of the four neighborhoods surrounding George Floyd Square, where we live and work.

Consider giving and support Black youth in our community. Link in our bio to give or learn more.

HAPPENING TONIGHT!

Join Longfellow leaders and Agate staff at an informational meeting about the new shelter project coming to our neighborhood!

In early January, Agate closed on a lot on the 2800 block of 27th Avenue. This site will become a new location for Agate's shelter and affordable housing programs. The shelter will serve about 54 single adults and there will be 48 units of flexible housing. All housing will be supported by on-site case management and other services.

We invite all neighbors to join us for an informational meeting where we can talk more in-depth about the project and answer any questions and address any concerns.

There are two meeting options:
March 6th - In person from 6pm to 7:30 pm at Squirrel Haus Arts (3450 Snelling Avenue)
March 12th - Virtual from 6pm to 7:30 pm - Join us on Zoom - https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86779709504
