Celebrate the season with Longfellow Rising at their Fall Harvest Gathering, a free community event bringing people together in the heart of Downtown Longfellow.

Meet at Southside Unicorn Peace Garden for an afternoon of food from local vendors and farmers, live music, art, and community. Come share a meal, meet people from across the neighborhood, and experience local creative work. Plus! Stand up comedy from CM Chowdhury!

The City of Minneapolis is asking for public input

The City of Minneapolis is asking for public input on proposed new zoning regulations for data centers.

With data centers expanding rapidly, in part because of increased demand from AI technology, the City is considering new rules around where they can operate, how large they can be, reporting of energy and water use, and noise impacts.

Minneapolis residents can review the proposed policy, submit feedback online, or share comments at the Planning Commission public hearing:

Meet neighborhood artists, see where they create, and shop work across painting, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, glass, photography, printmaking, sculpture, woodworking, and more.

@visitlakestreet 's Taco Tour on Lake Street is back Saturday, September 19 from 12–8 p.m.! The event is a celebration of the Latino-owned businesses and immigrant entrepreneurs that help make Lake Street what it is.

There will be two event headquarters packed with music, art, activities, and more:

12–4 p.m. | Mercado Central, 1515 E. Lake St.
4–8 p.m. | El Nuevo Campo, 2709 E. Lake St.

@curiositystudio_ is hosting a Mending Happy Hour, a casual drop-in where you can bring your current mending project, ask questions, get some guidance, and work alongside other menders.

No registration required. First come, first served, and stay as long as you'd like.

This is a donation-based event, and LCC is proud to help fund this program in partnership with Curiosity Studio.

An update on the future home of Anishinabe Academy

An update on the future home of Anishinabe Academy

Minneapolis Public Schools and the project’s design team will present plans for the Future Home for Anishinabe Academy to the Minneapolis Planning Commission’s Committee of the Whole on September 17.

The presentation is part of the City’s planning process and will give MPS and the project team an opportunity to receive preliminary input on the site design and engineering.

Join the next Longfellow Community Meal on Wednesday, September 16 from 5–7 p.m. at Southside Unicorn Peace Garden.

The meal is open to everyone and is pay what you can, regardless of ability to pay. La Choza food truck will be serving meat and vegetarian tacos, with live old-time acoustic music during the evening.
