River Clean ups

Part of our mission in environmental stewardship includes keeping our natural resources and parks clean through organized trash pickups.  River Clean ups are held typically once per season (spring, summer, fall and winter) at the Mississippi River Gorge. Materials are provided by LCC (trash pickers, bags, gloves) but bringing gloves is recommended. Meet us at the parking lot on E. 36th Street and W. River Parkway to sign in with LCC Staff and pick up materials. Pre-registration isn’t required, but recommended.

Neighborhood Clean ups

Neighborhood Clean ups are held throughout the year at various public spaces in the neighborhood including parking lots, along transit ways and in residential areas. Clean up materials will be supplied by LCC (safety vests, gloves, trash pickers and bags). Locations will be posted and updated on our website and at the register link above. Email our Community Organizer, Ben Howery at with any questions.

upcoming clean ups

Our next upcoming clean up will be Saturday, October 14th from 10am to 12pm at the Walgreens Parking Lot on Hiawatha. Look for the LCC table with materials and supplies. Please dress for the weather and bring extra water.
