Sweet treats, breads, pastries, deli, and a cafés; Turtle Bread. The newest location in Turtle Bread’s franchise in the Longfellow area provides a cozy atmosphere with a down-to-earth homemade menu to go along with it.

Turtle Bread’s main mission is quality ingredients, with their specialty being bread, as shown in their name. According to their website, their idea is “Why ‘Turtle Bread’?” “Because great bread takes time.” Their backstory is that “Since November of 1994, we’ve been taking our time to hand-craft flavorful artisan breads, pastries, soups, cookies and pies. We’ve branched out along the way – expanding to include a woodfire pizza restaurant, a French bistro, and a rustic Italian café – all the while maintaining our dedication to fresh, flavorful food served in a welcoming neighborhood environment. We love that we’re the kind of place our customers visit to enjoy a weekend breakfast with their families, to pick up some cheese and fresh bread after work to serve to dinner guests, to feast on a romantic candlelit anniversary dinner, or to simply treat themselves to a piece of delicious pie made from scratch.” As said by Turtle Bread themselves, they have their delicious food open to the public for a wide variety of reasons and uses, and they highly encourage you to take advantage of their multi-use style of dining.

Turtle Bread has a hot Breakfast menu from 7:30 AM-2:30 PM, and lunch from 11:00 AM-2:30 PM. Their kitchen has everything from soups, sandwiches, quiche, cheese, dips, & spreads, and pasta salads & green salads. Their café includes coffee & espresso, as well as hot & cold beverages. Lastly, their bakery has cookies, artisan breads, and other baked goods such croissants, turnovers, and buns. They even offer a wide variety of cakes, including different types of cheesecake, triple chocolate, and cakes specific to a variety of holidays. These are just a few of the examples of what they offer however, their menu in full is much larger and more exquisite!

Turtle Bread also occasionally offers bread baking and cooking classes. They don’t have any scheduled right now, however, but you can watch for updates here.
